Not Zakat
Contributions to ZakApp are sadaqah — voluntary charity given to support the platform. They are not a discharge of your zakat. Please give your zakat directly to those eligible to receive it.
What your support covers.
There is no investor and no advertising. Contributions go to the cost of keeping the project running and moving.

New features, security fixes, and keeping up with the platforms the app runs on.

The whole codebase is public. Every claim this website makes can be read against it, including this page.
Two ways to contribute.
Money is one, and it is the least interesting. The project is open source under the AGPL, so a bug report with reproduction steps, a correction to the fiqh notes, or a patch that lands all help as much as a donation does.

Ko-fi processes the payment itself. This site never sees your card details, and it loads nothing from Ko-fi's servers.
